Round 4 of Texas A&M University’s X-Grants program has selected eight interdisciplinary research projects to share $7 million in funding, the Division of Research announced today. The program is an initiative of the 10-year, $100 million President’s Excellence Fund.

Round 2 of the X-Grants program recently closed with 72 Texas A&M researchers awarded $7 million in funding.

$7 million will be devoted to a mix of smaller scale awards and larger scale collaborative research awards during the second round of Texas A&M University’s X-Grants program, an initiative of the 10-year, $100 million President’s Excellence Fund, the university announced today.

The X-Grants program has selected the Preliminary Proposals that will advance to Step 4 – Submission of Final Proposals.  The list of selected Preliminary Proposals can be viewed by logging in to the X-Grants site.

As I mentioned to some of you at yesterday’s Faculty Senate meeting, today we are pleased to announce the first year of the X-Grants Program, the second component of the President’s Excellence Fund Initiative.
